The pentecostal revival manifestation, Holy Laughter, is supported by Bible Scripture / Scriptures.

Holy laughter is Biblical, Scriptural & logical in a clear way. It is controllable, not uncontrollable.

Since it is from God, why do men try to control it? You can control it, but why would you want to?

Question: Why are most web sites against Holy Laughter?

ANSWER: MANY ARE CALLED BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN

You said that most web sites about Holy Laughter are against

it and say that it is of a foul unclean spirit. This is because

there are massive quantities of religious, self-righteous nominal

Christians in name only, but few there are that want to be

holy. There are few that want to wholly serve Him in becoming

a "fool for Christ"; Few there are that have lingered in the

presence of God, so that they can rightly discern His Spirit;

Few that have sought for Him with all their hearts;

Few that have obeyed Him, opening wide their mouth that He

should fill it; Few that drink ye all of it. They only want

just a little dab to suit their traditionally-biased theology

and pre-conceived notions of God. They are modern idolators,

worshipping the image of the false god they've concocted.

Some Serious Words About the Spirit of Revival

The Result of Hating the Spirit of Revival [2Sam.6:16,23]

"Michal, Saul's daughter, looked through a window, and

saw king David leaping and dancing before the Lord; and she

despised him in her heart. Therefore Michal the daughter

of Saul had no child unto the day of her death."

"Because they regard not the works of the Lord,

nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy

them, and not build them up" [Ps 28:5]

"Yet in his disease he did not seek the Lord, but the physicians" [2Chron16:12]

IN REVIEW:

God laughs; He is full of joy as He is also full of love;

At the same time He is angry with the wicked each day [Ps.7:11];

He is therefore emotional, and we are made in His image.

He is infinite, and His infinite joy cannot be fully contained

in a human vessel, therefore joy overflows in laughter, just

as the love of God within us should overflow unto the rest

of humanity.

Uncontrollable or Controllable:

So the question is about "uncontrolled" or "uncontrollable".

The implication by doubters is that holy laughter is demonic

if it is uncontrollable. There is already a fallacy in their

logic, since demons are controllable by God and believers [Mk.16].

However, a true Christian with Christ dwelling within

is already "possessed" by the Holy Spirit and cannot be

demon-possessed. The spirits of the prophets are subject unto

the prophets. We are a prophetic people.

I was a lead musician in a church one day when everyone but

the pastor and his wife received the manifestation of holy

laughter one at a time as hands were laid upon them; except for me --

I was ministering in music and did not have the freedom to experience

holy laughter because the visiting man of God ministering in that

manifestation needed my ministry of music which usually accompanies

prophesy and the Spiritual gifts.

So yes, spiritual laughter can be controlled.

In the above case, the Lord controlled it by not giving

me holy laughter at the same time that others received.

Additionally, the local pastor and his wife who were

slain in the Spirit did not laugh, because they had received

holy laughter years before; holy laughter is a "release"

that does not necessarily happen frequently after the initial

experience, just as you can only have one appendectomy

operation. However, the prayer tongue [which often happens

in the same meetings as holy laughter] should be manifested

as much as possible. Pray without ceasing. Only God in you can

pray without ceasing because God never sleeps!

As to it being confusion -- it is only confusing to those that

do not make a true effort to understand the workings of God.

I did not receive holy laughter that day, but it was not confusing

to me as an observer. I was blessed. The fruit was good fruit.

We said previously that where envy is, there is also confusion

[James 3:16].

Could it be that the opponents of revival and its manifestations

are jealous because the revival is not in their own church being

controlled by themselves? It would seem so to be. The Pharisees

were likewise jealous of Jesus Who had the true power of anointing.

They were revival-killers ... "killjoys" ... Don't let the devil

steal your joy. The thief comes to kill, steal, and destroy, but

Jesus comes that you might have life more abundantly.

"These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain

in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment,

That ye love one another, as I have loved you" [Jn15:11,12]

Remember that the religious leaders not only wanted to kill Jesus,

but they wanted to kill Lazerus also. Why? They wanted to kill the miracles!!

Holy laughter is not always uncontrollable, but those who always

want it to be controlled have "control" issues. The same people

are usually against praying in tongues at any time.

Holy laughter is God's "laughing gas" that He uses before He

does the Spiritual "surgical operation" of removing obstructions

that hinder our ability to minister to others. The question is not

whether the laughter is controllable, but rather, what motive

does a person have to control it. You would not want a doctor

to operate without anesthesia, likewise, if you can stop the holy

laughter within yourself, you would not want to do so.

People who have a problem with holy laughter have a big problem

with slain-in-the-Spirit. While holy laughter can be controlled,

no man can stop God from slaying someone in the Spirit, and there

are plenty of Scriptures for that particular manifestation >> slain_in.htm

When Jesus opened the eyes of a blind man the

first time, it was said "Never before has a man opened the eyes

of one born blind." Everything Jesus did was not written first

in the Scriptures.

And all the things He did were too many to be written down [Jn21:25].

"And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his

disciples, which are not written in this book" [Jn20:30].

We do not yet know all the various manifestations of the Spirit:

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither

have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath

prepared for them that love Him."   [1Cor2:9]

The fact that there is not a "clear" example of holy laughter in

the New Testament does not invalidate holy laughter. Could

it be that we don't see a "clear" example of Holy Laughter,

"for now we see through a glass darkly" [1Cor13:12], because

we know in part and understand as a child ... But "with God all

things are possible". If Holy Laughter is possible, then why do

some say it is only possible for the devil, but not for God?

The same logic applies to praying in tongues and the sign of

"slain-in-the-Spirit", which the ignorant attribute to the devil.

The enemies of revival, the enemies of Light and Life, walk

in darkness who hate their brothers; their path is dark, and

their way hedged with thorns of doubt, and because of their

unbelief, they cannot enter into the peace, the rest, of God.

Though all Christians see in part as through a glass darkly,

the Bible also says that the Word is a light unto our path,

that the path of the righteous is plain and "clear".

Hence, despisers cannot see Holy Laughter clearly in Scripture,

for "the secret of the LORD is with them that fear him" [Ps.25:14]

"And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world,

that they which see not might see; and that they which see

might be made blind."

"And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words,

and said unto him, Are we blind also?"  [John 9:39,40]

It is clear that God gave Abraham Isaac, Laughter [Joshua 24:3].

The Living Seed from a dead womb laughs at death!

The Living Seed from the burial tomb laughs at death!

GOD gives Holy Laughter, not the devil! The laughter of

the wicked is as the crackle of thorns under the cauldron.

Their laughter shall perish in flames, but the LORD has

the last laugh! And we shall forever share in His Laughter!

"Blessed are ye that weep now:

for ye shall laugh."  [Luke 6:21]

There is not a scripture where God put gold in a man's tooth

cavity, but I am sure He healed rotten teeth because Jesus

on certain days healed all that came to Him. Toothaches are one

of the most common maladies. I do know that God put a coin in the

mouth of a fish, so he can put silver, gold, new enamel, or

overflowing joyous laughter into your mouth, because you are

more important than lilies, sparrows or fish. Did you know

even the trees of the fields shall clap their hands?

Praise the risen Lord Jesus Christ!

Can the devil imitate holy laughter and slain-in-the-Spirit?

-- possibly, even probably -- but this is why the Lord Jesus

Christ also gives the gift of "Discerning of Spirits". This

gift tells the power source the minister is using -- God or

the devil.

Pray for this gift of discerning of Spirits so you can discern

an unclean spirit of miracles from the miracle-working

power of the Holy Spirit of God. The Bible says that to the

unclean all things are unclean, which means that those that

hate God will call all miracles unclean, even the miracles

of God. If the eye [lens] is dark, all things appear to be dark.

Some people see the devil in everything through the lens of

negativity and pessimism. "If I have no joy, neither should you,"

and "misery enjoys company".

The effort to eliminate all operations of the Holy Spirit from

church meetings is what my old pastor used to call

"throwing out the baby with the dirty bath water".

Nobody is an expert at Spiritual Gifts. We must not kill

them in their infancy. Apostles, prophets, and other five-fold

leaders as well as tongues are given to us to mature the Body:

"till we all come in the unity of the faith"  [Eph 4:13]

"building up yourselves ... praying in the Holy Ghost"  [Jude 20]

Can you prove holy laughter? Both salvation and the

Spiritual gifts are by faith. If a man should rise from the

grave and visit the unbelievers, they still will not believe.

See Luke 16:31

They still will not repent.

We say to them that there is a form of godliness, but no power

thereof, and God gives the Holy Spirit to them that obey Him.

Then they reply back to us, Mt7:22 "Many will say to me in that

day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?

and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name

done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto

them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity"

So you see it is a verbal stand-off, a stalemate.

God will pour out His Spirit on the earth in the final days.

The mark of the Beast will separate most of the true

Christians from the nominal "Christians", but ultimately

when Jesus comes, He will separate the sheep from the goats,

and in another place it says the tares [weeds] will grow with

the wheat until Judgment Day.

Keep constantly praying in tongues, and love these people

that hate holy laughter, because many of them love the Lord,

and "think" they are doing God a service, but frankly, they

have no experience; One experience can be better than a

thousand sermons. Jesus spoke with authority, because He

knew the Truth; He is the Truth. We know what we know

and we know Whom we know, and we know the presence of the

Holy Spirit and the things of the Spirit such as Holy Laughter --

"Blessed is the people that know the Joyful Sound: they

shall walk, O Lord, in the light of Thy countenance.

In Thy name shall they rejoice all the day." [Ps.89:15,16]

Taste and see that the LORD is good. If you've yet to receive this

gift, let Him put His Laughter on your lips, and see it is good.

2.   Were Hannah and Jeremiah Examples of "Drunk in the Spirit"?

Re: HATERS OF REVIVAL SIGNS AND WONDERS

How can a person say they love the Father and Son, but hate the Holy Spirit?

Most of these people "read" about the meetings, but they

do not actually go there, because they are afraid God

will get a hold of them, and then they will have to change

their pet theology. Words will not convince them; the best

you can do is to pray the Holy Spirit to visit them

wherever they may be. God will do this one day.

[Ac.2:17; Mal.4:5,6]

This why I pray in tongues as much as possible.

Tongues edifies your faith and makes the impossible possible.

If the Spirit within each of us grows, we grow corporately, and

as the anointing on the Church grows, it overflows out into the

world. The Gift of Tongues speaks the mysteries of God into being,

and one of these mysteries is the end of the Church Age [Eph5:32]

which is foretold in Daniel and Revelation. Tongues brings these

Prophetic revelations to their glorious climax, speaking those

things which are not ... into existance.

Habakkuk 2:14 - "For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge

of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea"

< Re: Can somebody who receives Holy Laughter impart it? >

[Romans 12:6] "Let us prophesy according to the proportion

of faith" -

You can impart the faith to receive the same things you have

received. For example, a person whom God has healed of

cancer can take faith for another person to be healed of cancer.

So yes you can impart Holy Laughter to others. Your anointing

increases with obedience to God. Jesus learned obedience

through the things He suffered. Of course He was never

disobedient, but His obedience grew exponentially with

increased suffering. I neglected to tell you that the evangelist

who ministered Holy Laughter at our church was blind!

An olive must be crushed to release the anointing oil,

so we must be bruised and afflicted as Jesus was to release

the anointing. We each have an unique type[s] of suffering.

Not exactly like that of Jesus, but exactly what the Father

knows we need as an individual.

I also did not say that another reason I didn't get Holy

Laughter at that time while ministering music ... was because

I had Holy Laughter ten years before. I don't know if you yourself

will receive Holy Laughter again soon, because you are

accustomed to the increase of the Spirit, but you can impart it.

"He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his

belly shall flow rivers of living water" [Jn.7:38]

About Hannah: Eli thought she was drunk because her lips

moved with no sound. I pray in tongues with no sound, so

that I do not offend unbelievers or ignorant people. When

I get caught praying silently, sometimes they think I'm weird,

like some people think a drunk is a fool. But I am a fool for

Christ Jesus.

Since the prayer of Hannah was answered, God was certainly

there in some measure. He is omnipresent. We do not know

what manifestations she showed other than silently moving lips.

It does show us that "religious" people [Eli] often misunderstand

truly spiritual people [Hannah]. Those of us that have experienced

Tongues and Holy Laughter ... can be misunderstood people.

We are not "holier than thou". We simply need and want more of God.

Another interesting thing about Hannah and Eli ... is that

Eli loved the Ark of God, but loved his rich meats too much to

rebuke his evil sons from robbing God. He died of a broken

neck when he fell while hearing that the enemy stole the Ark.

[1Sam.4:18]

We do not know whether he went to heaven or hell. This is how

it is with haters of the manifestations of the Spirit. Do they think

they are "protecting" the reputation of God, or do they hate

the Spirit because maybe they do not know Him? Only God

knows. We can only pray for them.

------------------------------------------------------

"... Rejoice with trembling." [Ps 2:11]

"Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all

my bones SHAKE; I am like a DRUNKEN man, and like a man

whom wine hath overcome, because of the Lord, and because

of the words of his holiness." [Jeremiah 23:9]

About Jeremiah acting drunk: It is impossible to repent and be

broken without the power of God. Jesus said there was no greater

prophet than John the Baptist, yet John did no miracles, but

Malachi said that John would come in the Spirit of Elijah, who

of course did great miracles. So we have the Word of God that

tells us John had a mighty Spirit of Repentance upon Him.

This Spirit drew people from all Israel to come to John and

to repent.

It says in another place that the Spirit was on John even before

birth. Therefore, the repentance and brokenness of Jeremiah

was from the presence of the Lord, not from self-condemnation

or worldly sorrow which is not of God.

The Holy Spirit convinces of sin [Jn16:8 NewKJV]

So here we can safely say that Jeremiah acted drunk because of

the presence of the Spirit of Almighty God. (to go to PART #1)
